Ayr, Scotland, United Kingdom I am excited to take on this new role of Customer Experience Supervisor within The Gaiety Theatre, and I'm so excited to take it on at a really important time for theatres across the UK. After 18 months of closure due to COVID-19, opening our doors again has been long awaited!! Working behind the scenes of this beautiful theatre is by far the most rewarding job I've had. My new role will see me take on supervision of the Box Office and Ticketing, as well as over-seeing elements of Front-of House. I will continue to work closely with our dedicated volunteers, our Schools, and continue to coordinate and be the safe-guarding contact to our Junior Dancers for our annual Pantomime.

Gaiety Theatre Working behind the scenes in this beautiful theatre is far more exciting than any other admin role I've ever had. I work closely with the Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis, assisting them with the administration element of running the business which includes a variety of tasks. Throughout the year I liaise with the Primary Schools to organise their annual visit to our Pantomime; I organise their date of visit, payment of tickets and also their seating plan. Throughout the year I liaise with the Primary Schools to organise their annual visit to our Pantomime; I organise their date of visit, payment of tickets and also their seating plan. We have approximately 40 schools attending our Pantomime annually. I also work with our dedicated Front-of-House and Ticket Desk volunteers. I put together the Front-of-House rota based on the availability received from our 100+ volunteers and I also assist with the volunteers on the ticket desk. We receive lots of new applications for volunteers and I take the responsibility of contacting them for interview and offering them a role within the theatre, organising a uniform for them and training dates. I have also assisted in the finances of the theatre, using Sage to process invoices etc. I am one of the full qualified First Aiders for the building and completed my 3 day course and passed in November 2015.

Having the opportunity to work along side industry professionals and West End Stars is truly amazing. I have responsibility for a group of approx. 18 young people each week and I am responsible for providing them with care and support for the week. I manage the group by introducing boundaries and making these clear to everyone from the word 'go'. Whilst the students are in classes, I assist with various elements of administration and the day-to-day running of the school. Show less
