Working at Minimal in Montreal gave me a good taste of what it's like to work at a digital advertising agency. My responsibilities included creating illustrations, branding a promotional campaign for a health application, and creating logos for various clients. The most valuable part of my experience was learning how to be creative and expressive within such a tight set of restrictions, forcing me to think differently. I used my previous technical skills within the Adobe Suite, but also learned a new tool for wireframing called Axure. I learned how to communicate concisely with not only my team but also with the agency's clients. With many tight deadlines, I also developed greater time management skills and efficiency with the Adobe suite.

At Sophomore, I was introduced to a new hosting platform called Atavist. As an intern I was required to move content from Wordpress to Atavist and was given the opportunity to freely design and explore a variation of aesthetic approaches. In addition, I was also given the task to re-design the template of their newsletter, in which I presented a proposal and taking feedback from different group members. At Frontier I was given full responsibility and tasks to that of any designer on their team. Working at Frontier allowed me to explore many areas of my own interest such as editorial, motion graphics, strategic branding and consulting, and messaging. I had the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, in which I produced work for clients such as Ryerson University, Fogo Island Inn, Castor, and the National Arts Centre. In addition to the technical skills I learned as a designer, I also gained experience working in a team as well as a professional environment, in which I exercised my communication and problem-solving skills.

Lesli Ink was my first internship and introduction to working as part of a team and within a professional setting. Although it was only four weeks long I was able to take part in a multitude of projects. I contributed to client work, and was responsible for creating multiple social media campaigns for their Instagram account. Creating these campaigns, I was able to introduce motion graphics to their work, further develop my photography skills, and art direct.
