  I started in 1996, working iin accounting for Riverton Coal Production doing their sales accounting and accounts payable as well as general accounting clerk duties. In 2000, I became assistant to the President there and a few years later worked my way to Executive Assistant level. Riverton was part of Foundation Coal which was merged with Alpha Natural Resources in 2009. Although, we've gone though a lot of changes as a company and my locations have changed a few times, I have been able to carry on with my job. Here at the Running Right Leadership Academy, I wear different hats although my title hasn't changed. I am not only the "Director of First Impressions", but I also do the purchasing of the supplies needed for our training academy including the 96,000 sq. ft. simulated mine lab. I also track the headcounts of those that visit our facility, make hotel accomodations for those in class that live out of the area and various other clerical type duties. We have a small staff here that help each other do what it takes to keep the RRLA at its top performance levels. Show less
