Laura genuinely connects with her patrons and serves a great service as a librarian. She not only has the techniques and skills needed to provide librarian service, but the compassions to lead the way for others to follow

Laura was always exploring new ways to involve the various ethnic communities of Lakewood with the library. She frequently went out of her way to engage customers and solicit their ideas and opinions about how to make the library work better for the those with limited English language abilities, and was very helpful in educating staff on different cultural attitudes that could assist in better serving the communities.
