I work as a full-time teacher of English across KS3 and KS4. I teach students at varying levels of ability and work well with SEND students too (even having led a CPD session on the relationship between autism and gender identity). Additionally, I have been leading the Creative Writing Club at Redbridge Community School since starting in September 2019; I have also been running an Anime Club for year 8 and year 9 throughout 2021. I am the form tutor of year 11 group with experience of guiding in the college application process. I have also helped out the department by producing promotional content, having edited the year 6 open day video and having written the English department newsletters throughout the 2020/21 school year. In my work here, I tutor secondary students in English. The children I teach have learning disabilities or have had issues which led to their exclusion from school. I create personalised work for every student, taking their individual needs into account. I cover a range of topics which fit within the curriculum (including Shakespeare, creative writing, and transactional writing). In my work here, I tutor secondary students in English. For the past couple of years, I have worked for the award-winning ZED Events, in which my job encompasses many different roles. At ZED we create immersive horror theatre, and I am a crucial part of this. In my work here I am an Actor, Administrator, Deviser/Director, Promoter, SFX Makeup Artist, Technician, and Writer. Evidently, there is a lot to this role, but I thrive in such a busy environment. This role requires one to be a fast learner and to train newer members of staff. Moreover, I must create an exciting experience for customers, whilst also being aware of their needs in such an intense situation. Over my time here, I have been involved in the original zombie event and have had a key role in the development of the new Wasteland Experience. Additionally, through my work here I have been involved with television (e.g. The Joy of Techs, DAVE) and online video streaming (e.g. LadBible Zombie Livestream). Show less

    • Social Secretary
      • Sep 2017 - Jun 2018

Due to my passion for music, I volunteered and was voted to be Social Secretary for Rock Society. For my work I was nominated for the Committee Member of the Year Award. In this role, I have come up with ideas for events and carried them out. Such events have included Alternative Freshers Week; I contacted music venues and local shops to be included in the wristband which will allow those who pay for them to go to all the events at no additional cost, as well as receiving discounts at several stores. We have also created merchandise for the society which we have sold onto members. Continually, I have hosted events and managed finances, making significant profit throughout the year. Not only have I organised and ran events but have also been running the society’s social media and The Rock Soc Radio Show (which we produced weekly and released to listeners through the university’s radio station Junction11). As part of our radio show, I contacted bands and conducted interviews with them. Show less

This retail job requires that I have knowledge about the products in store, am helpful to customers and co-workers alike, and can successfully pitch and sell specific/high-value items. Since we primarily sell technology, I have a firm grasp of how such products function (e.g. drones) and would consider myself technologically proficient. Here, I had many responsibilities which included: serving and attending to customer’s needs, working a till, cleaning, making pizzas, washing dishes, stocking up, taking on and off the drinks machine, counting money. Often, it is hot and busy work and demands a great deal of energy.
