Work with the Director of Operations and Box Office Manager to properly train staff on ticket scanning procedures and ensure the staff is courteous, professional, and helpful to all patrons entering the venue. Responsible for ensuring staff is aware of potential ticketing issues for each event and maintaining a smooth, even flow of patrons. For every event, provide an in-brief and out-brief to all employees and troubleshoot any ticket scanning issues. Meet and greet patrons and direct them to their seat locations. Since I am the "front line" supervisor, it is important to provide a positive first impression since customer service is our main goal. Ensure gate security personnel enforce safety and security policies and relay those policies in a courteous manner to the patrons. When patrons do not agree with the safety and security policies, I explain the reasons for those policies. Since I am the first supervisor the patrons see when they enter the venue, I answer a lot of questions about the venue and/or the event. Also work with local radio stations, production managers, security personnel, and performing artist's staff to ensure any special requests are executed. If medical emergency arises, ensure the patron is safe and paramedics are directed as quickly as possible to the injured patron. Deal with a range of employee issues including training, performance, attendance, and position duties and responsibilities. Show less
