One of the key areas of focus during my placement was related to the current change in legislation that has been considered in numerous Employment Appeal Tribunals. As a result of this it was my job to offer solutions to the business that was in the best interests of both the organization and the staff. I conducted various internet searches, reviewed documents, and attended numerous meetings with the Commercial Director and the outsourced HR consultants. As a result of my work, the Commercial Director has been able to develop a Board Paper presented to the Head Office Board in Singapore in February, 2015. In the mean time I had also been working on actioning the development of the new employment contracts with updated terms and conditions, which will be presented to the workforce later in the year.
