I started off as a waitress which at 16 quickly progressed to banqueting supervisor one of the youngest to ever be promoted. I quickly learnt the ropes from intimate functions of 2 to weddings of 220 and providing and running outside catering for huge functions within Caerphilly castle. I also learnt various departments from chamber maid / bar / receptionist for many years plus the hospitality side of functions. I learnt a vast amount of skill within my time at the hotel from dealing and handling customers demands/ complaints / up-selling/ telephone skills / computer skills /silver service/ stock management and being fully trained in Opera systems. I started this role whilst still working at the hotel, I absolutely loved this work but it was only a temporary role. It was a challenging but such a rewarding role. I was assigned daily with a small group of children from ages 3-5 within the classroom to help , mentor, do activities, read and help plan and cook.
