Activities Program Director

The Activities Program Director is responsible for all aspects of the Activities Program, which runs seven days a week at the five Cape Cod resorts over the summer season, starting in late June and ending on Labor Day weekend. Responsibilities: 1. Assists with the development of the Summer Activities Program for the Cape Cod resorts. 2. Responsible for the organization and execution of the various events, whether directly involved in conducting the event or coordinating the activity with a paid performer. 3. Responsible for ensuring a safe and friendly environment for the children and adults at all times with CPR and First Aid training a preferred qualification. 4. Works to ensure that “unforgettable memories” are created for our guests through the Activities Program with the goal of making “lifelong friends” who will return to our resorts over and over again. 5. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of all supplies for the day-to-day operation of the Activities Program. 6. Ensures the appropriate promotion and marketing of the Activities Program by creating a weekly information handout for guests, on-line presence, and proper signage. 7. Writes a blog to promote and cultivate the Activities Program, thereby fostering the good name of the Red Jacket Resorts. 8. Under the direction of the Recreation Director, this position is responsible for being educated and then assisting the Director in all aspects of Recreation in East Longmeadow. The goal of this position is to learn everything that a recreation department can accomplish within their required hours. The position will also be responsible for completing all requirements set by the institution or program they represent. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist the Recreation Director with purchasing process for program supplies and equipment. Inventory existing seasonal supplies and equipment in preparation for each program; request quotes, secure vendor information, submit necessary information to the Recreation Department bookkeeper to ensure proper and timely payment of Department purchases. Record accurate information that may be referred to by others to follow up on. Use of Microsoft Office including Word, Publisher and Excel; Type/word process various correspondence, notes, notices, memos, reports, flyers, rosters, schedules or other similar material. Utilize RecDesk to manage program registrations. Accurately enter program participant data and ensure timely enrollment of program participants. Accurately file records for reference.
