  This is my seventh year teaching at New Century Technology High School. During my tenure, I have planned, taught, and graded multiple preps, including AP US History, Honors US History, Dual Enrollment US History (through Calhoun Community College), and Yearbook/Journalism. I am dual certified to teach history and English / Language Arts. I serve as the Title IX representative for my school as well as a building representative for the Alabama Education Association (AEA). I have also led training meetings for newer history teachers in the district and have served as a mentor teacher within our faculty. Additionally, I manage aspects of the NCTHS social media and am responsible for creating and publishing posts for its Instagram account. In 2019, I was honored to be recognized as the Huntsville City Schools Council of PTAs Secondary Teacher of the Year for my role in advocating for and piloting the dual enrollment history program with Calhoun Community College. It is an honor to teach at one of the best schools in the nation, and I truly enjoy encouraging my students to broaden their thinking skills by analyzing all aspects of American history through both primary and secondary sources.
