Laura is very easy to recommend. Great person. Excellent talent who works to get better each day. Outstanding teammate. Well liked and respected by peers. I can't say enough good things.

In my 15+ years as a broadcast journalist, I have always preached to young students and interns that versatility and preparation are the two biggest keys to success in this industry. Laura Britt exemplifies this lesson perfectly. I first met Laura when I was a Broadcast Journalism writing professor at UAB. Out of 38 students, she had the most "natural" talent of anyone in the class. With a little coaching and guidance, she quickly landed a job as a sports reporter in Jackson, Mississippi in the country's 90th TV market. Soon, she was anchoring news, hosting tv pilots and movie nights and anchoring a morning talk show, in addition to filing the occasional sports report. If she hadn't been so versatile and prepared, she wouldn't have been successful in Jackson. Not only was she successful there, but I'm confident she'll be confident at whatever she chooses to do throughout her career. I wholeheartedly recommend her for your team if you're lucky enough to consider her for a job.
