Through this work, my three goals for FOY are to streamline processes and procedures decreasing miscommunication, duplicate work, and meetings, breakdown silos between departments increasing collaboration and ensuring continuity throughout FOY, and manage risk by implementing and monitoring safety procedures for staff and clients. I approach all of these goals with a lens for equity looking for ways to improve our processes and procedures to ensure equitable access and treatment for ALL or our staff and clients. Currently, I am working on implementing a collaboration software platform that is enabling FOY to work across departments on intricate projects without missed steps, deadlines, or multiple meetings. This platform is allowing us to streamline processes and move to paperless documentation. I am also implementing new safety procedures and updating documentation and processes that involve the various safety plans throughout the agency. Currently, my main focus is working the Senior Leadership Team on risk assessments, recommendations, and procedures to ensure safety for staff and clients to mitigate the risks of Covid-19. I am also creating the FoY resumption plan and how our procedures may change in the future based on our learning form Covid-19 interventions. My future projects will be to review and revise or Emergency Preparedness Plan and to review all partnerships to ensure they are safe and equitable. Show less

These sessions were integrated with Trauma Informed Care and the latest research of brain science. I established a discipline committee that analyzed discipline data and created solutions to target problems. I isolated race and developed strategies to disrupt the over referral of African American boys. I isolated race and ethnicity in academic data and implemented strategies to enhance cultural practices in the classroom. I supervised staff and championed their success toward achieving monthly and yearly objectives. I diligently sought out and hired teachers from diverse backgrounds. I resolved problems pragmatically by analyzing data, finding patterns, and implementing solutions to rectify those issues. I transcended a positive and culturally inclusive learning and working environment for all staff and the student body. I led staff in implementing and integrating culturally responsive pedagogy in everyday practice. I leveraged data, discipline, and academia to isolate race in an effort and designed solutions in support of students of color, and I created, implemented and supervised district wide summer school program serving 600 diverse learners, connecting and coordinating all departments and community organizations involved with support, hiring 90 staff members and providing them with support and training.
