A 9 week project in Eric Holub's lab group, working to discover the identity of a virus infecting a new breed of common dry bean, bred for UK growth and consumption. I also assessed the virus’s effect over an eight-week period and learnt about its pathology. I used techniques such as PCR, RNA extractions, resistance mapping, inoculation and in field study.
