We've been working with Laura and the Chroma team for a while now on marketing our app 'socialsendr' - we started with an one off engagement using the Story Brand methodology - we were delighted with the output and have moved into a retained engagement. I highly recommend Laura and the team.

Before working with Laura, I hadn't clarified my marketing needs, put them in to a clear strategy nor correctly implemented them. Laura helped me to see what I needed to do and advised on the best way to achieve my marketing goals. She is a very clear thinker with great ideas and is always willing to help. Recommend working with Laura 100% to get you fabulous marketing and outstanding results.

Wow, I've just had over an hour with Laura on a marketing review of my company. I've come out with 4 pages of useful information to act on and it was FREE - I've told her to charge for that review! On the back of it I've asked her to do me a proposal to take over some aspects of my marketing and I can't wait for her to get started!!

This role was part of my university placement. As the role was new to the company when I joined, I have worked with the directors in building a team, with whom I have worked in providing training modules and experiential learning to apply skills picked up. My main role is to form strategies with both clients to manage digital marketing channels, in coordination with web development, design creatives and more. I am utilising platforms appropriate for the client’s business tone (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, blogs) and nature to develop a growth based plan to meet their current and future aims. This is done in an evaluative manner, ensuring that any implementation is brought back to the aims and objectives, so as to ensure consistency and growth. Thus, the main objective of our work is to ensure that efficiency and effectiveness are met, alongside return on investment.

The summer of my University Placement Year was spent at The Gift Oasis. My official title here was Marketing Assistant, however I was using the opportunity to decipher which areas of Marketing and Events I was both more interested in, and applying the knowledge I gained so far throughout my degree. Due to the nature of the organisation, my projects were very self-driven, and where a concept is formed I was free to choose whether it is something I wished to get my teeth into, or prioritise for a later date. My focuses are mainly concerning the brand image both internally and externally. Here I worked on the improvement of current marketing channels, development of new ones, while also consulting with HR on how the image of the company internally can influence the image of the company externally - something which I will further input into my studies.

During my internship for Discover Huddersfield, I was responsible for marketing the brand. As Discover Huddersfield works as one of the main tourist information platforms for the town, I was responsible for communicating any events, guided walks and more to the public through social media platforms. Not only this but I was responsible for locating volunteers to assist on promotional days, and acquiring new sponsorship from local businesses and organisations. I had the responsibility of marketing and selling tickets to the Spring Break Amsterdam Festival. In this, I had to publicise the event online, through social media platforms. I also had to advise people on which packages suit their needs and make the sales where appropriate. I had the responsibility of marketing and selling tickets to the Spring Break Amsterdam Festival.
