      Working with retail is a good first job experience. You learn a lot especially by helping hundreds of customers that walk through your doors. It feels great knowing that you are helping a customer to seek her needs and go beyond what she is looking for. You don't realize how much problem-solving thinking you do when you work at a retail job, but it's really great to get your mind going and helps you improve at that skill. While helping other customers, you improve the skill of reading their cues and knowing how to appropriately talk to them. Show less
