I manage an unconventional medical logistics program that requires end-to-end analysis design, development, implementation, and continual improvement of performance support systems and instructional products in instructor-led, virtual, and blended models. Execute fiscal responsibility for the management, execution, and accountability for the training programs $175k annual budget. Exercise the full range of supervisory authority and responsibility for 10 Soldiers; planning work to be accomplished, assigning work based on priorities, counseling, and evaluating work performance. Establishes daily and long range work plans and coordinates training with various training developers, instructors, and training managers throughout the DoD. Formulate and establish training policies, guidance, plans and direction for executing the AMLC MLMIP program of instruction. Participate on IPTs and ensure the technical aspects of the mission are accomplished and that the team is meeting the objective. Resolves problems involving interpretation of the law and of Department policy. Conduct monthly training analyses to identify trends and functional training gaps in order to mitigate future issues in training, capture lessons learned from organic training, and acquire knowledge of industry best practices IAW AR 350-1. Collaborate with stakeholders to adopt and implement structured and sequential Leadership Development into the program as well as for the agency. Consult with medical logisticians within the Department of the Navy, Department of the Air Force, the Defense Logistics Agency, and private industries to determine military training needs, knowledge sharing. Define objectives and interpret policies disseminated by higher echelons to determine their effect on program needs. Work consisted of warehouse inventory, courier runs across the state of Texas and into Louisiana, distribution of stock, and data entry for mobile home units (MHU) for issue to disaster survivors. Data analysis for pricing by COG, RV, MHU; conducted independent government cost estimates for temporary housing units (THU). Data analysis of: THUs versus what was on hand, and the disaster survivors’ need. Data entry of Site Inspection Requests (SIRs) and Work Orders generated from the housing operations management enterprise system (HOMES). Independently created process improvement documents in addition to regular tasks given. Notable Contributions: Clearly defined the Branch II Mobile Home Unit (MHU) acquisition process by creating the first MHU Process Flowchart. I created the first 10 minute desk side training tutorial presentation for team leads and managers with the purpose of providing new employees with an upfront and face to face training session with their superiors on the organization, organizational operations and processes, assets, and data entry items for temporary housing assistance for disaster survivors. Created the first Process Flowchart for THUs for Commercial Parks (THUCP). Created clearly defined THUCP project life cycle, process life cycle, and execution timeline for commercial park construction. Independently create a THUCP Strategic Overview, Strategic Framework, and Strategy Map based on DHS mission, FEMA priorities and strategic implementations and the Direct Housing vision to clearly define a road map for a way ahead to reduce redundancies. I drafted the first 29 page THCUP guide and SOP to standardize and streamline processes.
