Participate in pre-bid meetings, determine contractor compliance and good faith efforts, provide assistance to DBEs, and provide outreach to DBEs and community organizations to advise them of contracting opportunities; Review, record and process Title VI complaints and assist in resolving deficiencies; Coordinate with the City's Human Relations Department (designated Equal Employment Opportunity Officer) for compliance, reporting and updates to the EEO program. Develop and present departmental Equal Employment Opportunity training programs including sessions on lawful selection procedures, prohibited conduct, Americans with Disabilities Act, and new hire orientations; research and evaluate training options and materials; interpret departmental policies and procedures.
