  As a Hospital Corpsman I performed duties as an assistant in the prevention and treatment of disease and injury as well as assisted health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. My primary function as clinical and specialty technician included running and maintaining a full functioning laboratory, providing emergency care and, creating and preparing documents for medical discharge from the military as well as assisting medical health care providers at medical treatment facilities. I also served as a battlefield corpsmen with the Marine Corps, rendering emergency medical treatment to include initial treatment in a combat environment in two separate theaters of war.
