Latina and I worked together for 8 years in Merck Bulgaria EAD. She was the Human Resource Manager initially only for Bulgaria, but soon after took the lead for Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania. In my role as a Managing Director since 2006-2022, I had the pleasure and unique opportunity to work with her very closely on people development, organizing the recruitment process of hiring and interviewing staff, onboarding, administering pay, benefits, leave, designing and enforcing company policies as well as key strategic initiatives. Latina is a responsible and people-oriented person. She leads by example, with empathy, upholds values and is easily able to resolve any concerns or conflicts. Her communication and interaction with people were unambiguous, respectful and objective. She has superior interpersonal, coaching, communication and consultative skills at all levels. Latina demonstrates due diligence by ensuring the employees’ requests and needs were addressed in a timely manner. She was transparent with the leadership and customer stakeholders, collaborated in driving key collective decisions and actions for the benefit of everyone. Her ability to engage with and win the respect of the leadership brought much additional value to successful decisions on key change initiatives. Latina went further to demonstrate an overwhelming commitment to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures including the development and training of staff in these areas. She made changes and suggested improvements to senior management wherever required to ensure the proper functioning of the HR processes. Latina designed effective onboarding sessions and processes for new recruits. She quickly arranged for any required tools & trainings, and other assistance needed in making sure the teams were well groomed and supported in delivering their responsibilities across countries under her supervision. She was also prompt in providing feedback and recognition to the team members, keeping them highly motivated as they progressed during their engagement. I have to say it was an excellent experience working with Latina. I would recommend her for any HR Service leadership role that she aspires for, and that has broad teams across geographies on mission critical engagements.
