I owe much of what I know today to Latia as my supervisor and mentor of four years at Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF). During our time together, she played a key role in building a culture of collaboration in the organization. Her ability to bring people together to work towards a common goal was exemplified through our events, communications and fundraising initiatives, and her intentionality behind every process and structure that facilitated our success as a whole. Many of my favorite moments working together came through the DSF Annual Gala, where Latia shined as a storyteller, connector, visionary, and most of all, an authentic leader. Working alongside Latia in her element was an inspiration and a gift that I cherish today. I deeply admire her ability to weave together many voices in a way that celebrates all. This strength carries over to her team as well. In our time together, Latia was a consistent advocate and guide for my growth. She identified and appreciated opportunities to highlight the strengths of those around her. Over the span of four years, Latia served as an adaptable navigator during times of change. I continue to look to her example today, not only for her industry expertise, but for all the leadership qualities I aspire to carry in my own career. Latia is truly a stand-out in her field and a blessing to work with. I can’t give her a high enough recommendation!

Latia is a prime example of a leader and mentor as she has guided me through my Internship at the Denver Scholarship Foundation. She is always encouraging others to think creatively and critically. Her work ethic is driven by her innate passion and dedication in working with nonprofit organizations. I am more than grateful to have such a great role model that has taught me many skills relating to marketing, public relations, website development, strategic planning, community outreach, and storytelling. Her professionalism coincides with strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others. With a desire to provide quality results in all endeavors, Latia is more than capable of being an excellent Associate Director of Marketing and Communications at the Denver Scholarship Foundation.
