Mechanical Pre Commissioning Supervisor

I am the Site Supervisor for the Mechanical Pre-Commissioning team. The Pre-Comm team inspects all conveyor systems for discrepancies that involve Dematic install standards, safety standards, equipment updates or revisions as well as any customer specific standards. We verify that each unit is assembled correctly, all drive systems function properly, all packages/materials travel the conveyors as designed and all safety equipment and devices are in place. Once the inspection is complete all discrepancies are turned over to the install team to correct before handing off to the customer. I coordinate my team’s efforts with the Mechanical & Electrical Install teams, Site Engineers and Project Management to maintain efficient operations until the site is handed over to the customer. I train new hire and temp-to-hire personnel in company and customer standards, the inspection process, navigation of company applications, websites and documentation. I also act as the liaison between my team, the company, customer representatives and site management. Show less

I was the Safety Coordinator for our Fracturing, Coil Tubing, Chemical, Cement and Iron yards/facilities. I performed audits and coordinated the mitigation of discrepancies. I performed safety observations, conducted safety meetings and safety stand downs as well as maintained the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program, Emergency Action Plan, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and Fire Extinguisher compliance program. I conducted incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis, as well as create Significant Event presentations and Safety Alerts. I ordered suspension of activities that posed threats to workers' health and safety or environmental impact. I recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials. In my time with B&R I had many responsibilities, including: Poly crew/Water distribution supervisor: (maintained a good relationship with the provider and customer, taking meter readings, meter calibration, installation, inspection and repair of poly lines), Fuel cells: (delivery, setup/plumbing, recovery and inventory), Generators:(delivery, setup, servicing, recovery and inventory), Servicing of centrifugal booster pumps for customers: ( 3x3, 4x3, 8x6 and 10x8 pumps), Cutting and welding: ( heavy equipment, cattle guards, mouse holes, building H braces for fencing etc..). Equipment operator: (front end loader, backhoe, skid steer, forklift). Mill Maintenance Tech III

I was a mill maintenance mechanic for East Surface Operations where I rebuilt, removed, maintained, and installed reduction gearboxes, centrifugal pumps, vertical pumps, and diaphragm pumps. I maintained ore crushers, screens, centrifugal separators, agitators, and screw conveyors. I conducted preventive maintenance and inspections on all equipment as well. I also weld and cut and do light fabrication work. There are numerous other maintenance duties that I was involved with occasionally as well. Mill Mechanic / Millwright

As a member of the maintenance team, I performed all aspects of maintenance at the mill, crusher plant, sewage treatment facility, water treatment facility and tailings treatment facility. I maintained, repaired, rebuilt and replaced all pumps, gearboxes, agitators, screens, presses, floats, conveyors, pulleys, and valves. I also maintained the Metso 24” jaw crusher, Metso HP 200 cone crusher and a mobile jaw crusher and screening unit. I fabricated platforms, catwalks, stairs, handrails and guards. Because it was a remote mine, if it required maintenance, the team took care of it. I was also Captain of one of three Surface Emergency Response Teams. I was an Alaska certified ETT (Emergency Trauma Technician). I was trained in vehicle extrication (Jaws of Life and air bags) and high angle rope rescue. I was involved in our safety program and considered it one of the most important parts of my job. I was a steering committee member for our BST Safety Program (behavioral accident prevention process). I was also a trainer for this program, conducting weekly classes for all employees and contractors’ site wide. Show less
