Effective April 1, 2014 - Horstman Special Products consolidated with Horstman Inc. The continued impact of tight defense budgets from 2011-2016 required the defense industry to implement significant changes in their companies, work force and business practices. Horstman and its companies were not immune to the industry pressures. Over the past three years Horstman, Inc. and our team of professionals have worked tirelessly to align our businesses, and available resources to support the fast changing industry. This includes the transfer of great products, production and the team from Horstman Special Products in Slidell, LA to Horstman, Inc. in Sterling Height, MI. The new combined team at Horstman, Inc has transformed the consolidated company into robust business ready for the growth to mirror the defense industry trends. We have used this time to establish a solid foundation of business for continued growth. This included the introduction of new products and positions with great customers to include BAE, SAIC, GDLS, TARDEC, DLA and more. This includes the program positions on the Upgraded M109 Paladin, AAV Survivability Upgrades, Next Generation Combat Vehicle, Combat Vehicle Prototype, and other current defense programs. We at Horstman, Inc. are stronger from our efforts in the past years and are excited about the opportunities present in 2018.
