Building up and managing the two regions of ZTE Corporation for sales and marketing / 中兴通讯亚太区创建人和负责人、总裁/CEOAs the President, CEO and Head of ZTE EAST ASIA / ZTE ASIA PACIFIC Regions, I built up and managed the two sales and marketing regions with many markets getting-broken-through the first time• Established the ZTE East Asia Region from scratch to a dedicated team headquartered in Hong Kong.• Established the ZTE Asia Pacific Region by merging the ZTE East Asia Region and the ZTE Southeast Asia Region with teams and several regional sub-HQ’s in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand etc. • Set up the ZTE Hong Kong Inc which would cover nearly all those overseas subsidiaries with a few exceptions. • Introduced the mainland China high tech telecom systems into Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand etc.• In Hong Kong, the complex telephone switching systems should support the European, North American and Hong Kong telecom standards, and were very expensive. I coordinated and persuaded ZTE and also the customers there to cooperate together and develop a new product which cost much lower than from the competitors. By this customization arrangement, ZTE established in the Hong Kong developed market solidly and it was the first time that ZTE products were sold into a developed market other than those developing markets.• Hong Kong at that time frame was migrating from the western governance to self governance. Working with the local people was quite like with western people in language, working methodology, ideas, business administration and management etc., which helped greatly for further opportunities.• Developed and trained the teams who spread in the region with local hires and China expatriates.
