    • Logistics Manager
      • Aug 2015 - Dec 2021

In my position as a Logistics Manager I have been in charge of the shipping department, as a whole. This means receiving/processing vendor shipments, matching in stock customer items with those incoming, packaging and shipping complete or partial orders based on customer request, and keeping track of daily shipment records. To maintain efficiency I have created a highly functional system that optimizes the work-flow through organization, prioritization, and time-management. Compared to the system that was previously in place, my system has shown verifiable results that have improved the overall productivity of the entire department. Part of my job is to meet with parcel service providers, UPS and FedEx, to determine any necessary process improvements and troubleshoot system updates. I also conduct conflict resolution strategies with all shipping outlets when an identified problem, like a lost or damaged shipment, is unable to satisfy the needs of the customer. Additionally, I assist in other departments when necessary, such as Bookkeeping. In absence of the Bookkeeper, or when demand increases, I am able to step in and perform daily functions. Such functions include: depositing customer checks directly into Chase QuickDeposit, posting vendor payments in the AimSi database system, balancing front register cash flow, and making daily bank deposits. • Senior Dietary Counselor
      • Sep 2013 - Aug 2015

As Senior Counselor at Medifast, I was responsible for training/managing the counselors and the overall compliance of our members. Daily and weekly compliance spreadsheets divulged how we were doing as a center with consistency of member visits compared to ideal quotas. Keeping members engaged and on track to their goals was accomplished by weekly weight-loss counseling sessions. Required for these meetings were a combination of patience, compassion, and the activation of problem-solving techniques when necessary. I performed walk-in and scheduled sales consultations where I successfully maintained an average closing rate of 90%. In addition to sales of the program, I also utilized various tactics to sell our wide array of products. Onboarding the various program initiatives was a large part of my job description, where in I had to organize welcome folders and go through the step-by-step process with new members. I created and conducted public grassroots marketing events and promotional directives for our members. Finally, I helped to head weekly team meetings to discuss any potential conflict resolution strategies and set achievable goals for our team. Show less

    • Dietetic Assistant
      • Feb 2012 - Jun 2013

As a Dietetic Assistant at Full Circle Nutrition, I worked side-by-side with a well known Dietitian in the community. As a part-time position, being that I was pursuing my Bachelor’s degree at the same time, I put in about 10-20 hours per week. In this position I shadowed consultations alongside the Dietitians. I assisted in measuring patient anthropometric data at the start of the appointment and helped to examine/organize patient charts. Responsibilities within the office included communicating with insurance providers to determine benefits and eligibility, utilized attention to detail when filing the necessary documentation for reimbursement, and trained new dietetic assistants on business processes. I also assisted in organizing and presenting community outreach events, such as TWU’s Pioneer Pace 5k, UNT’s Annual Health Fair, as well as Full Circle Cooking Classes. Additionally, I conducted grassroots marketing by making doctors office drop-offs and asking for patient referrals. Show less
