  As an intern I was responsible for a wide range of activities including the design and launch of a new company website, product management, social media management, customer service, and contacting partners.   I attended a student-led Chinese Language Course organized by Enactus. I was really inspired by the students' passion for broadening their fellow students horizons, which is why I applied in October. I wanted to be a part of an organization that strived for the extension of other people's knowledge and intercultural skills, but also tried to improve the lives of locals. I chose to become a part of the Event and Fundraising Department, where I single-handedly organized events to raise money for good causes or the organization itself. I held meetings with important partners, such as the Dutch “NetworKing” or the owner of a popular club in Leeuwarden. I negotiated deals and maintained contact with important partners. In weekly meetings we try to come up with new and creative ideas that help and support other students. Show less
