Following my passion for the circular economy, I joined the Startup Era Zero Waste as its Community Manager. I created the interview series "From trashmakers to changemakers" interviewing zero waste influencers on Instagram live increasing the amount of followers by 65%. I got used to working with tools, such as SproutSocial, Slack, and Instagram. I was responsible for introducing our first product as the PoC (proof of concept) to the market, and answering tickets from customers. As part of my role as Community Manager, I catered for the whole team during the crowdfunding video shoot and organized the crowdfunding kick-off event under current Covid regulations. Show less

I am responsible to plan and organize activities with the children onboard the Arosa River Cruises. This includes creative art and drawing, making jewelry, playing games, and physical activity. For some activities I have to coordinate with the crew, eg. baking pizza with the chef or a wellness day in the Spa area. The job requires lots of energy, creativity and adaptability. One time the children wanted to make a movie, so I helped them with the script, filming and cutting. We were even able to present it to the other guests on the ship. During my time working with ASODECAH, I stayed at Finca La Flor conducting a gap analysis as the base for my professional product, a strategic plan for the organization. This plan included also an updated mission, vision, and values statement, which I developed with the board members during various focus group discussions & workshops. Furthermore, I helped with smaller tasks, such as assisting in the planning and execution of the Welcome Art Festival. Research Intern

The Nkoilale Foundation ask me and two peers to conduct a needs assessment in Kenya to identify which skills are needed in the Nkoilale community and which courses the newly planned vocational training center should offer. We planned the research back in the Netherlands, and conducted it during our 1-month stay in Kenya, interviewing the minister of education and relevant local stakeholders. During this internship, I could improve my intercultural communication and qualitative research skills, I learned to take the lead when my teammates were struggling with environmental changes. I learned to work under pressure and to adapt when things didn't go as planned. I could experience lots of hospitality and generosity, which made me humble and forever grateful. Show less
