Responsibilities included transport and care of patients for both emergency room admission and inter-facility transfer. Patient population and chief reason for transport ranged from simple discharge to psychiatric (5150 hold) to emergent in nature. Tasks included receiving and relaying pertinent patient information with nursing staff, monitoring patient physical and mental status, baseline vitals, and interventions where appropriate. My work at Impulse Ambulance also included coordination and communication of patient status with an on-board respiratory therapist for transport of patients on continuous ventilator. Show less

Past treatment provided included but is not limited to: applying dressings on lacerations or contusions, applying c-collars, irrigating wounds, and assessing need for oxygen and providing the correct level and device for the patient's needs. Patients managed were patients being transferred from scheduled dialysis appointments, discharged from the hospital, as well as to the emergency room for admission. Show less
