In this role I was required to manage several capital projects at any one time whilst also tackling engineering design tasks to assist our maintenance teams.In all capital projects I have taken on the role of Project Manager, Engineering Coordinator, or Responsible Engineer.As a Project Manager I am required to devise a SOW and produce estimates, capital submission documentation, technical specifications & project schedules. I am proficient in the use of SAP for placement of orders, goods receipting and project cost management. I also facilitate project / design discussions with cross-functional teams, provide design direction and oversee the engineering drafting of my projects.I have been involved in capital projects with budgets of $0.5 - $7M in the fields of rotating equipment, material handling, material testing, structures, and classification & separation. I am currently managing or taking a leading role in a portfolio of projects >$12M.As a Responsible Engineer I work with my customer to understand their requirements and produce a solution. In coming to a solution I consider the impacts of my design with regards to the installation, use and maintenance as well as considering site safety requirements. Prior to implementation I verify my designs through hand calculations, use of Spacegass and consultation of co-workers/specialists where necessary.
