The program manager will lead the Ujima black family connection program. Funded by the Walmart foundation, this is the only national program of its kind that brings together a multidisciplinary team of black leaders with decision, making authority in Family Court, law enforcement, child, welfare, adoptions, behavioral health and education to collectively take action to promote and maintain Black family connections for children and youth in the foster care system. I advocate for children who have been abused, abandoned and neglected. I facilitate the process for them to get adopted from the foster care system. I educate prospective adoptive parents on the process to adopt from foster care. I match families with children who are available for adoption who are in the foster care system.
