When you're self employed, you do it all. Of course I am using my graphic skills, but I am also customer relations, sales, and accounting. This includes print, web, and promotional items. I do some web related design and maintenance. I also maintain all graphic files and resources, invoice, and maintain relationships with various vendors. As the name implies, Pin Provider's flagship product is lapel pins. Long-lasting, durable and collectible lapel pins are a great promotional or sales item for sports, events and conventions of all kinds. PinProvider has expanded to other products. T-shirts and banners come in as our number two items, both of which are sourced at wholesale direct.

Graphic Designer / Web Professional

Sep 2011 - Sep 2013
My primary duty is to design and maintain all media for the associations Crow-Segal manages. Of which, the largest part is convention media. This includes both print and digital media. Second to this is maintaining the association websites and social media. This includes updates, new content, and in some cases redesign. In addition to graphic skills I also maintain all graphic files and resources, invoice clients, and maintain relationships with various vendors. Finally my "unofficial duty" is that of IT. The office runs on Mac platform. If someone has a problem with their computer, the first person they come to is me. I don't consider myself an IT professional, but I know my way around a Mac.

My work here consisted of three primary elements. Two were graphic related. First was to create graphic solutions for a variety of clients. This included advertisement, brochures, annual reports, sales catalogs, and more. Second was (as the name implies) to create forms for a variety of clients. Not the most exciting work, but sometimes it is the mundane that makes money. The third item was file related. Maintaining graphic files for all clients and vendors. This is a skill of organization that all designers should have.

During my time a Full Sail University I taught three courses. I started as an instructor teaching Graphic Design. This included Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator, photoshop, indesign), and After Effects. When the Computer Animation program started, I helped develop the content and teach the Object Perspective course. This course focused on drawing skills as it applies to computer animation. The final course I taught was Design & Art Theory in the Digital Arts & Design Program. As the name implies it covered the foundation of layout, design, color, and typography. In addition to teaching I maintained supplies, which included writing proposals and building relationships with vendors. I also managed subordinate instructors.
