as Emas Chiyoda was a smaller company, expectations of field engineers were to start in the office on all preparation aspects of a project through to in field execution. during this period i was offshore for the majority of the installation of 79,000 tonnes of structural steel and the installation of some 311 KM of pipelines. and involved in the preparation of all aspects of installation of these items.Highlights of this period involved:- Installation of FSO, including mooring installation (up to 144mm chain), MWA and PLEM Installation, installation of Flexible riser- Installation of Condensate Stabiliser tower on FUCPP Platform, Installation of E&I room on ERCPP platform, replacement of flare tips on ERCPP- Installation of platforms and pipelines, including hub platform (800MT jacket and 885MT topside with 900MT crane)- Taking Lead for Pre-Commissioning of 4ea Infield lines and 1ea Gas Export pipeline, including Vacuum pulldown, nitrogen packing. - Installation of pipeline using the Zap-Lok system for chevron (which it is now qualified to 300’ water depth based on that installation). 10” NPS x 0.625” WT X-42 pipeline (Heaviest Wall ever installed by Zap-Lok system)
