  In charge of the day to day operation of running the rail yard. Giving instructions to road and switch crews either by radio and in person. Working with flying squad to figure out what locomotives are good or what is bad order and either having switch crew wye the consist or switch the motors around. Working with lift contractors to properly build outbound trains for on time departures. And also yarding inbound trains for the lift contractor can easily drop freight for on time gate cut off. Coaching and counseling switchmen and lift contractor's and also peers as to the safe and proper way to work. Show less
