  Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive security program that would allow the organization to be compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley and Payment Card Industry regulations.   Hired, trained and directed a team of 10 systems administrators, network engineers and security personnel. Scope of operations included LAN with 100 Linux and Windows Intel-based servers supporting Internet-based automated loan decisioning and origination system, accounting systems, data warehousing and 150 workstations. Secure and monitor connectivity to off-site data center and disaster recovery site housing production servers and VPN connecting five vendors supporting back-office banking functions. Managed $550,000 capital and $1,575,000 operational budget. Designed, implemented and managed security program for compliance with regulations mandated by the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act as well as other federal/state legislation and bank regulators; the development of security policies and procedures, risk assessment procedures, corporate security awareness training and auditing guidelines. Consistently passed audits by internal and external agencies including OTS, FDIC and state regulators. Wrote tests and text for annual SAS-70 Type II report; assisted external evaluators and authored final reports. Designed and implemented high availability WAN to isolate and restrict fault to smallest possible element for minimal disruption; achieving 99.99% uptime. Saved over $400,000 through improved vendor management.
