Participate in firearms training to maintain proficiency; participate in a variety of training programs, including programs on appropriate law enforcement equipment and weapons, computers and communication equipment; Respond to complaints filed against officers and take appropriate actions. Prepare the departmental budget; provide guidance and leadership to command staff; attend budget related meetings; direct command staff in the preparation of the divisional or departmental budget; procures recommendations on needs from command staff; make budget recommendations to Police Chief.       I served as Captain or Division Commander for the last fourteen years. Over that time I served as the division commander over three of the four divisions in our city. I served as the Patrol Captain, the CID Captain, the Administrative Captain and for the last year and half before being promoted to Assistant Chief of Police, I was assigned back to Patrol.
