Mark is an exceptional leader and human in all respects. He is a brilliant business leader who leads with kindness and empathy and consistently creates an enjoyable, psychologically safe, and profitable work environment. I reported to Mark, either directly or indirectly, from March 2020 to November 2022, and I can truly say that I enjoyed my entire time working closely with him. Even now, being in the same company but not reporting to him, I consider him to be a mentor and friend. I could tell from early on working with him that Mark truly cares about those around him and is invested in each person's success. I believe that Mark's leadership and mentorship were instrumental in my career progression at Aquent from an individual contributor to Market Manager, then to Regional Director, and now VP. Mark gave me empathetic and honest feedback to help me build my leadership skills and visibility at Aquent, and also trusted me to perform successfully with various teams and projects. Mark's knowledge of business in general and the staffing industry specifically is very expansive, which has a direct impact on the success of his teams. However, the best thing about working for and alongside Mark is the confidence he shows for and instills in his teams, and his ability to bring out the best in each individual. When you work with Mark, you know that he does not expect you to "fit" into the team. Instead, he creates a strong culture where everyone can bring their full and unique selves to the team, which creates an open and trustworthy environment. Everything about working with Mark is positive and rewarding. I consider myself lucky to work with Mark and to have the opportunity to experience his kindness and brilliance.
