Support Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A), NATO Special Operations Component Command – Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) and Afghan Ministry of Interior (MOI) leadership working with our Afghan counterparts to establish and execute processes that will enable a sustainable Afghan Special Police Training Wing that can conduct initial and sustainment training for all Special Police Units from across the country. Work alongside UK Specialized Infantry Group companies, German, Dutch, Italian, Polish, and Romanian SOF elements in the training of special police commandos. Conduct and assist training SPATW students in Close Quarter Marksmanship (CQM) and Close Quarter Battle (CQB), individual and team TTPs and mechanical breaching as well as a wide range of tasks such as Map Reading, Land Navigation, Basic Marksmanship (all weapons systems, pistol to RPG and .50 cal. HMG), Small Unit Tactics, and basic medical tasks. Executed an impromptu Instructor Training Course to teach and train newly assigned SPATW Assistant Instructors map reading, land navigation, Global Positioning Systems, CQB, and range operations. Assisted the British SOAT with training students in an inaugural Officer Course teaching map reading, land navigation, and CQM (rifle and pistol). Led a successful two-man MTT to Logar Province for seven weeks to teach students and mentor CF 333 trainers in the conduct of a replicant phase III course to provide units with trained emergency manpower resources. Trained students or assisted the CF 333 trainers with US weapons systems, basic marksmanship, CQM, map reading, and CQB. Recognized by NCOs of B Company, 4th Battalion, Rifles Regiment for dynamic and effective delivery of training and high level of rapport with all SOATs and the SPATW staff. Show less

Mentor trained ANSF instructors in the delivery of best practice COIN instruction at ANSF training institutions within RC-S; specifically Police Training Center-Tarin Kowt, PTC-Spin Boldak, Regional Training Center-Kandahar (ANP), Joint Regional Coordination Center (ANCOP), and Regional Military Training Center-Kandahar (ANA). Identify and implement best practice COIN and best practice training techniques into all presentations and instruction. Report analysis, findings, results, and best practice to HQ, COIN Training Center-Afghanistan and Regional Support Command-South. As of 1 Apr 12, worked as the Region Chief and sole CTC-A representative in RC-S until closure of the COIN MTT South on 20 July 2012. Coordinated, planned, and resourced visits with mentors and staff to ensure COIN training became an enduring subject in each institution’s curricula. Responsible for all post-mission and cyclic reporting and analysis to COIN Training Center-Afghanistan and Regional Support Command-South HQ’s. Responsible for training over 6,000 ANSF in COIN Framework and the training and mentoring of over 90 ANSF COIN instructors in RC-S/RSC-S.
