Bio
Jean Ayoub
I know Lama and worked with her for 5 years now and during this period I have come to discover a hands on capable manager and results oriented, successfully managing Himaya, a large Lebanese NGO, active in child protection throughout Lebanon. With a substantial workload and amount of responsibilities, Lama has been quite present as well on the International scene representing Himaya within the ISS network, taking active part in strategy and policy meetings and online think tanks bringing her skills and knowledge to the entire global network. Lama’s pragmatic approach, sense of observation and over achiever personality adds much value to ISS practice, whether in advocacy or policy development or in the design in the network’s 5 years strategic direction plan of action. Lama integrates well within ISS leaders team and her contributions to include evident listening skills, at various managerial levels and with the General Secretariat of ISS are highly appreciated by myself and her peers. You add to that that she is a dedicated professional and a true compassionate human being and woking with Lama is a real pleasure.

Himaya is a Lebanese national NGO specialized in child protection. Since joining in 2013, I helped the organization grow from 25 to 120 employees covering the needs on a national level. The NGO serves on a yearly basis more than 100,000 individuals through its different programs and departments. The NGO has become the lead national child protection actor. It works in coordination with different ministries, and is part of 4 international networks. I represented himaya in different international conferences, working groups and symposium. During the 7 years, I worked on restructuring himaya and implement a quality management system in order to increase productivity and efficiency. Show less
