Areeba Rahman
I had the pleasure of supervising the work of Lalarukh when she joined the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) as an intern in summer 2019. During her internship, she was responsible for conducting research on the family support services available for parents and caregivers of individuals with Down syndrome across the globe, and for reaching out to local organizations working in the interest of individuals with Down syndrome to identify collaboration opportunities with them. Throughout her internship, Lalarukh demonstrated leadership and had a result-driven approach towards her work. She was also hardworking and a good team player. She bears the qualities required to become a professional committed to transform the lives of individuals she serves in future.
