I organised the school's first book panel run by 6th form scientists in which year 7 & 8 students submitted votes for The Royal Society young person’s book of the year award. I am a firm believer in learning outside the classroom and took great pleasure in organising a successful trip to the zoo for 180 year 8 boys as part of curriculum enrichment, which was not only educational but excellent fun! Being a Duke of Edinburgh leader at the school and co-running the extra-curricular Crest Award Club where students can work on group science projects to obtain a nationally recognised award is extremely rewarding.
