I was awarded a Summer Research Scholarship to work as a paid intern at the University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research in the Gordon Group. My role was to learn experimental techniques employed in molecular neurobiology research and assist research assistants, PhD students, and Post-doctoral researchers in investigating the molecular mechanisms underpinning the role of neuroinflammation in Parkinson's Disease.
