Lab Research Focus: Contributing to the Investigation in the role of the oral mucosa and salivary gland in anti-fungal immunity to the opportunistic pathogen: "Candida albicans" The goal of our research is to increase cancer treatment success rate by decreasing side effects of the treatment and increase the quality of life for cancer patients. Completed an Honors Thesis Project: Focused on determining the efficacy of inhibiting the ASADH pathway as a novel therapeutic against candida albicans along with understanding the synergistic action of the anti-fungal fluconazole on these candida species. Medical Intern

As a medical intern at this free clinic I walk my patients to their examination room, and I measure their blood pressure, O2 level, temperature, heart rate, height, and weight. Under supervision, I conduct a patient interview by recording chief complaints and ask about the severity of their symptoms. I also record each patient`s family history, allergies, medications, past illnesses and ask any other relevant questions to their case.
