NDMS, which is hosted at a federal data center, delivers not only the functionality to plan and execute maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aviation assets, but also the ability to conduct facilities and equipment maintenance, calibration, tool control, hazardous material management, and time and attendance. The NDMS program is Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Level III, certified first in 2006 and subsequently. ◦I work with the IT organization and Business organization to understand business requirements for performance and improvements that ensure the existing and future information systems are implemented according to the organization’s goals, needs and objectives. ◦I establish or update the organization’s infrastructure structure, refine and define essential design features, use the enterprise architecture framework currently in place (Service-Oriented Architecture) and integrate multiple business systems/processes into a single NAVAIR Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and improve upon it. ◦I collaborate on new and existing IT projects, systems designs and plans, and conduct research on emerging technologies to support changes in infrastructure aligned with the strategies, target architectures and roadmaps.
