I had the pleasure working with Kyra while at the Blazers and she was very instrumental in structuring a mutual beneficial multiyear partnership between Kimberly Clark/Spenco and the organization. At the time it was the Spenco’s first sports sponsorship with multiple marketing elements... Kyra is a dependable and principled sales pro who has delivered consistently and I highly recommend her.

I have known Kyra for over twenty years both as a friend and as a professional. Kyra is a team player and she has excelled to her current leadership position through her keen understanding of business and profitability. Kyra routinely demonstrates the character and qualities that you look for in a professional as she is organized, dependable and self-motivated with a high degree of integrity. Kyra knows the importance of establishing strong relationships, whether it be with her retail accounts or members of her team and as a result Kyra has an excellent rapport with everyone that she has contact with. I worked with Kyra when I was a buyer both at GI Joe’s and RSG (Running Specialty Group).

In 1994, Kimberly Clark sold Spenco Medical Corporation, remained in my position and managed approximately 1400 accounts in (11) states, overseeing 13 representatives within a broker sales force in all states west of Colorado. I trained and coached personnel, meet with clients, and maintain knowledge of product lines and markets/sellers in comfort footwear, insoles, grocery HABA and drugs (first aid), specialty running, and sporting goods. I generated leads, negotiated contracts, reviewed sales, planed and executed campaigns/launches/initiatives, track results, addressed inventory issues, and communicated with stakeholders. Big 5 Sporting Goods was my largest account. Others included: Zappos, REI, Boot Barn, Shoeteria, Raley’s, Kroger, shoes.com, Zulily, Academy, Copeland’s Sports, Sports Chalet, Walmart, Mckesson, Bergen Brunswig. The outside sales agencies I managed during this tenure included ... Peters Fate Peckham (California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming) Sports Sales West (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska) Feld-Kamp Marketing (Kroger – Cincinnati) Retail Sales Alliance (California – grocery) Salvatori Scott (California, Oregon and Washington) Sherpa Group (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Wyoming) Sport Futures (Utah, Colorado) Flaherty Green (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois). I served as Liaison with Portland TrailBlazers Sales Department, negotiating advertising contract and facilitating advertising/promotions with GI Joe’s and Fred Meyer, 1993-1995. Grew region more than 41% from 2011 - 2015. Active in 2010 Footwear launch.
