I had the pleasure of working with Kym during 2020. Kym's event management, organisation, communication and people skills played a key role in her team pivoting, and successfully delivering highly complex events in an online format. During the planning and execution of each event, it was clear that Kym was able to deliver outcomes whilst balancing client needs, supporting her team and co-ordinating multiple suppliers.

It's been an absolute pleasure working with Kym over the years. What makes Kym so successful is her client and supplier centric attitude, her solutions focus approach, her time management and event planning skills, and most importantly to me, her extremely high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

The AMA exists to promote and protect the professional interests of doctors. It advocates for and represents doctors, by providing an extensive range of member services and benefits that support doctors in their practice and their medical careers. Throughout the course of a year, doctors can expect to attend a minimum of at least 3 conferences. I assist with the operations, logistics and event management for these conference and other events. Based in St Leonard, NSW my role is to fully promote the use of the conference centre and coordinate the day-to-day events including the AMA/ASMOF meetings at hospitals and other locations across NSW. Organisation of Key Events • Doctors in training award night 2017 at Ivy establishment (100 guests) • Women of Medicine - High Tea at Parliament house (150 guest) • The Alliance Junior Doctors conference at the Sydney Masonic Centre (150 guest) • A night of Opera at the Sydney Opera House • Four Council dinners a year

    • Twilight at Taronga Concert/Duty Events Manager
      • Dec 2013 - Mar 2016

The Twilight Summer concert series runs between January and March every year and provides open-air music concerts. With the capacity to seat up to 2000 spectators the zoo offers an intimate environment for Sydney siders to enjoy the ambience and the music. The safety of all concert goers and the inhabitants of the zoo were paramount and my role as duty manager was to ensure these events ran smoothly and in compliance to local legislation and council restrictions. Key achievements • Managed all operations of the Twilight Season Concerts 2014, 2015 & 2016, including Taronga staffing and volunteer coordination. Successfully coordinating the movements of over 55,000 people during my time with no significant injuries or incidents occurring. • First person to ever evacuated the zoo of 1400 people during a thunderstorm in 2016 with no harm to people or animals. • As a direct result of my end of concert reports and recommendations, zoo management implemented actions that included: o Updated evacuation of zoo procedures o Safety lighting for staff o Review of first aid processes

As an international Flight Attendant providing exceptional customer service and cultivating client loyalty through positive air travel experiences was part and parcel of the ethos of Air Zealand. The ability to evaluate challenging situations, including interpersonal disagreements, diplomatically and politely is a strength I have taken with me into the event management roles. Key Achievements: • Formal nomination and training to oversee Her Majesty the Queen’s flight. • Supervised HRH Princess Anne’s flight from the United Kingdom to New Zealand. • Served as an in-flight trainer and operator on behalf of Air New Zealand to a major UK airline for a six month term; training successes enhanced the company’s international reputation within the travel industry.
