Benjamin Lacombe

Hello, My name is Ben Lacombe and the Boston Market Manager at SponsorUnited. I have worked with numerous sponsorship scouts at SU and Kylie had a number of qualities that stood out to me during our time working together. The first, and most important, was that she was always learning. Whether it was a mistake made when first seeing a new asset, or a key point made when going over a new project, Kylie would always take the time to make sure that she understood what was being taught. Next, Kylie would ask meaningful questions that prompted necessary discussions. In the sponsorship industry, it is easy to ask questions just for the sake of being heard, but in Kylie's case, the questions that she would ask displayed her passion to learn more about the importance of the problem/project at hand. Lastly, Kylie was one of few scouts who took the initiative to ask (and receive) a tougher and more time consuming work load. This is one of the main reasons why she stood above others is her willingness and drive to be the best.

In this role, I work with others to conceptualize and execute touring details including 4+ constant venues with 4+ shows each year for Grammy-nominated artist, CJ Fields. Additionally, involving sponsorships I oversee the research and contacting of 70+ potential sponsors for artists as well as record contact information in Excel for present and future events with venues, festivals, and sports teams. Lastly, for social media, I propose social media marketing campaigns oriented toward achieving higher engagement numbers. This includes designing social media graphics, editing video clips, and utilizing trending audio sounds for reels. Show less

With a role in Game Day Operations- my responsibilities include managing the scoreboard, producing time sheets, announcing the starting line-ups, and operating music productions to enrich the fan experience. Since a portion of our audience is located far from our home base, an online stream was configured through Facebook Live and game updates are provided via Twitter.

    • Ticket Office Assistant: Athletics
      • Sep 2022 - May 2023

My role as a ticket office assistant involved calculating and recording over $2,000 revenue/day, 80+ ticket sales, and ~40 credit/cash transactions depending on the sporting event. I was communicating with ~40 customers for 2-3 days per week to sell regular tickets to new guests or assist returning guests with reserved tickets, which involved facilitating the check-in process in person from prior virtual payment.

The objective of this internship was to increase social media engagement, redesign RFP Magazine Pages, and be ready to promote JLD at career fairs while concurrently enforcing the brand’s message of trust, reliability, and excellence. Measuring our success, Instagram analytics states J.L. Dunn has seen a 95.9% increase in accounts reached, a 55.3% increase in accounts engaged, and a 2.2% increase in total followers all over the span of one month. Additionally, the company now has a RFP Magazine file in Adobe InDesign, which is both modernized and curated to function for any specific bid. As for the career fair- all items were designed digitally in house, then produced by different vendors to assure the best quality possible. Show less

Taking on the role of a scout, I had received extensive training on the many sectors in the sport and entertainment field. My abilities now expand from data tracking, categorizing, and linking assets, licensees, properties, etc. Through my data collecting I was able to evaluate brand and property values using the online database to help generate analytic reports and information for brands and companies. Not only was I tracking online data, but also attended live events to produce in-person photos for the sponsorship platform. Show less

    • Assistant Manager
      • Mar 2021 - Aug 2022

Working my way from Cashier to Assistant Manager, I headed the debut of a new, local business, catered to 150+ customers daily, and generated an additional ~$400 daily by executing an online ordering system and ~$100 daily by implementing weekly specials. Through scheduling 17-25 employees and orchestrating shift cuts I was able to increase efficiency and reduce deficits by ~$1.8K per week. Managing around 25 employees, I provided constructive feedback and increased productivity by implementing employee initiatives, investing in new devices, and reorganizing inventory systems. Another responsibility was handling daily company finances which involved balancing draws, distributing pooled tips, budgeting employee wages, formulating accounting reports, and developing inventory reports to then share with upper management/owners.
