In this role my focus is to assist and work alongside one of the Senior Project Managers to manage all ongoing projects we are tasked with, this includes procurement, risk assessments, operational manuals, building engineer packs, logistics and tracking of equipment, scheduling of labour, fabrication and commissioning requirements and recoding of all data to assist the wider team with knowledge of what stage each project is at.Organisation is key in this role with many projects at different stages it is my responsibility to make sure and problems are highlighted and addressed as early as possible in the process, prioritise tasks to make sure we can deliver the perfect solution for our customers and maintain good communication with colleagues and customers each step of the way. I took on a dual role of Junior Project Manager whilst remaining responsible for the Live Project Book from Handover to Invoicing and completion. This role as created to allow my progression but also allow a transition for a new Head of Projects to learn the financial aspects before passing these tasks on.I found Junior Project Management a great way to learn more about the Audio Visual industry from conception to delivery and works on many small to medium sized projects installing TVs, Projector Screens, RF networks, rack and speaker installations and LED spot and strip lighting with custom programming.Tasks included organisation and coordination of equipment and resources, customer and colleague communications throughout the journey, creation of full Engineer packs, risk assessments, operation manuals, procurement, site visits and inspection of works, manual tasks and handover to aftercare team including all information of the customers journey throughout their Project. This was a fast paced, proactive and reactive role where prioritisation of workload and good communication skills were paramount. Tasks included validating Sales Team new project Handover, updating the Live Projects Book, maintenance of this book to forecast each months projected invoicing accurately, assign tasks and manage the scope of each project manger. Accessing multiple systems to aid and assist Project managers, colleagues and engineers with enquiries. Collate data for the wider business to utilise, negotiate best pricing with suppliers, tracking all orders until fulfilment, Health and safety tasks including Risk Assessments and Operation Manuals for customers H&S file. At completion I would notify our Finance team and provide all data required to invoice the works and when required take on other duties to help the team complete the works to the best possible standard.
