    • Lead Drain Surveyor & Trainee Estimator
      • Jul 2022 - Present

Building on my previous role as Lead Drainage Inspection Engineer; this role is more focused on the report writing side of drainage surveying. Providing in-depth reports helps the client understand the exact issues that may be prevalent in the drainage system, whilst also using the correct language to make it easier for them to understand.Along with this, I am now training as an Estimator for the company, a role I am glad to have the opportunity to learn. This role goes hand-in-hand with more role as a Lead Drain Surveyor, as once I have completed the reports for the drainage surveyors completed by the engineers, I am able to put costs together for any remedial works that may be needed on each site. This makes the flow of work much smoother and allows us to have a quick turnaround time with quotes. Show less

    • Lead Drainage Inspection Engineer
      • Jan 2020 - Jul 2023

My current role is much more technical and allows me more freedom to be decisive and organised in my work.I enjoy this role a lot; I am more well-rounded in this position as I now attend sites to carry out survey inspections, then write the reports and create the drawings for these sites. This requires focus, organisation, time management and experience within the industry and allows me to become astute.A particular aspect of this role that I enjoy is the creation of drainage plans with the use of system provided drawing software as well as AutoCAD; I enjoy the technical challenge of these softwares. The next step in my career allowed me to build on my ability to work under pressure by making me go to sites and complete work on my own.A continuation on my previous role with more focus towards drainage surveying works which introduced me to deadlines as well as a more technical aspect of my field.I enjoyed this role a lot, it allowed me to gain industry experience in various aspects, as well as making me become decisive in my actions on site to ensure the work was completely duly and correctly. The first step in my career which helped me gain the basic skills of the job.I enjoyed this job a lot as it was a tough learning curve which made me develop the skills required to learn more efficiently in the future. The job entailed working as an assistant to my more experienced colleagues in a variety of different works ranging from drain cleaning to civils and groundworks. This job showed me the importance of punctuality and focus which I have carried with me and built upon since this job.
