I have been responsible for selecting locations, managing the construction and hiring for six newly constructed locations and I negotiated the purchase of a seventh. I oversaw day-to-day operations of our locations including hiring, training, marketing, product ordering and inventories, and customer service. I also handled all bookkeeping and produced financial reports, internal analysis and franchisor compliance. I have touched every aspect of the business from creation and start-up to growth and development to finance and human resources and IT. My experience has given me a wide range of skills and an appreciation of every department that supports and fuels a successful business. As Operating Partner I had the unique experience of being the most senior person in the company. I did not have the ability to, “ask my boss”. If a problem or decision came to me, I had to solve it or it did not get solved. This was a responsibility that made me a more efficient and proactive problem solver. It has forced me to attack problems head on, without procrastinating. This also forced me to be a better manager and trainer.
