  Perform emissions testing in the field by setting up and preparation of samplings trains by using the correct glassware and chemicals associated with the appropriate EPA method for sampling in a safe and timely manner. Utilization of mechanical and electrical skills to maintain and modify equipment as necessary. Maintain records for calibrations, training, accreditation, reports, truck and trailer licenses and contacts. Successfully trained on EPA methods to sample particulate matter, metals, with a general knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring equipment. Responsibilities include; job safety, preparation of job equipment checklists, mobilization and demobilization of equipment, analysis, in field analysis, (commonly EPA M5, M202) analysis prep (tare beakers, filters, tins, wash/bake glassware ...); set up and recovery of impinger methods. Interact with plant and regulatory staff before, during and after the project, running and maintaining testing equipment in the field. • Perform relative accuracy tests using continuous emissions analyzers which determine content of oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxide. • Perform maintenance and repairs on source and ambient gas analyzers to maintain reliability and gather consistent and accurate results.
