As a member of the Care Medical team, I acted as a virtual clinic RN alongside a clinician group that staffed the clinical side of the Amazon Care app. My primary duties involved triaging a wide variety of patients, both pediatric and adult, in a virtual urgent care setting. I was able to help patients develop treatment plans and/or direct them to a more appropriate level of care. During my time with Care Medical I worked extensively with training newly hired RN’s and in a lead RN role… Show more As a member of the Care Medical team, I acted as a virtual clinic RN alongside a clinician group that staffed the clinical side of the Amazon Care app. My primary duties involved triaging a wide variety of patients, both pediatric and adult, in a virtual urgent care setting. As part of the house float team I worked in a flexible position that allows me to be an additional resource and point of contact to fellow RNs, throughout the hospital, and a variety of different patients. My responsibilities include transporting critical patients to and from procedures, assisting with bedside procedures and filling into different RN roles as needed. I was also a core member of the rapid response and code blue teams.

    • Registered Nurse
      • Apr 2016 - Jul 2019

I worked between 2, 16 bed Intensive Care Units; 1 surgical, 1 medical. I’ve had an opportunity to gain a wealth of experience with some new patient populations, that I had not formerly worked with, including liver transplants and head/neck surgeries. I continue to take care of a variety of critically ill patients in a high acuity setting as a member of a highly skilled health care team. The caseload is 2 patients/ RN.
